After you have gone through this Garmin Forerunner 110 review, you will have known almost all important features of the watch including Garmin Forerunner 110 best price.

Design

It’s important to highlight the size of the Forerunner 110. Unlike GPS watches of yesterday, it doesn’t look like a mini computer strapped to your wrist.Featuers

The gadget measures 4.5 x6.9 x1.4cm and weighs 52g. The Garmin Forerunner 110 is arguably the smallest GPS gadget ever made.

Here we are talking about the red version of the watch. While the gadget comes in different colors, the display is 52 x30 pixels and shows time, average pace, and distance clearly. However, you need to sync the watch to the website of the Garmin Connect to view elevation information. In the same way, you cannot check individual laps on the gadget itself.

Usability

Unlike the earlier products by Forerunner, the Garmin Forerunner 110 is a lot easier to use, and on first use, you need to enter your basic information, such as age, weight, gender etc. And then you will be good to go after a couple of steps.Garmin-Forerunner-110-2

The Garmin Forerunner 110 is designed for those who need to check GPS training data with ease. The watch has only 4 buttons for adjustments and the screen is not touch
sensitive.

Time gets updated automatically on the basis of the GPS location, and you can track your activities with ease. All you have to do is press the start/stop button. It is not a big deal at all.

If you keep the GPS enabled on your watch, the battery will drain pretty quickly, but this is not much of an issue because the watch can be recharged through a computer USB port or a power socket.

The rubber strap is soft on the wrist. After you put it on, you will forget that it is on your wrist after a while.

Performance

The performance of the watch is impressive. On a single recharge, you will be good for 8 hours of training on GPS mode, but you can use it for about three weeks if the GPS is turned off.

For ease of use and better performance, the watch comes with a blue backlight and an in-built alarm.Garmin Connect

As soon as you have taken your 110 outside, its highly sensitive SiRFstarIV will lock onto available satellites. As far as my experience goes, the watch gets satellite signals in about 20 seconds even if you are in a wooded area. Once connected, you can track your data while hiking or cycling.

At the end of your run, the display will show you the time you took to cover the distance. The Garmin Forerunner 110 has its own memory that stores your workout data,

and the data can be uploaded to the Garmin Connect site as well.

The Connect site shows average pace per lap and elevation gain/loss. Whether you are a beginner or a more serious runner, the watch has enough data to keep you entertained. And of course, like other running watches, you can share your workout data with friends and family.

For motivation, you can use the Connect to set goals. This way you will have to cover a specific distance in a week, which is fun.

Value

On Amazon, you can buy the gadget for $119 (the price has come down considerably over the last five years).

If you are looking for a watch with numerous features and configuration options, you may want to go for one of the previous models of the watch, such as the Forerunner 205. While it’s bulkier, it offers a wide variety of training options. For beginners, however, the Garmin Forerunner 110 is an ideal option.

The price seems a bit high to most buyers because the price doesn’t include a heart rate monitor, and you have to spend more money to get one.

Hopefully, this Garmin Forerunner 110 review answers all the questions you have on your mind. For all the users looking for an easy-to-use and inexpensive solution for tracking their workouts, running or hiking information, this watch is ideal.

Heart-Rate Monitor

The reviewed unisex Forerunner 110 doesn’t ship with a bundled heart-rate monitor, but the watch is compatible with any ANT+ strap and is able to wirelessly record and report heart rate in beats per minute.Forerunner-110-with-Heart-Rate-Monitor

The Forerunner 110 doest come with a heart rate monitor, but if you really need one, you can use any ANT+ strap. However, you can also go for Garmin’s own heart rate
monitor, which is increase the total price by £44.99.

Do you want to track your performance while swimming as well? The Garmin Forerunner 110 is water resistant to some extent. While it is not recommended to keep the watch on your wrist while in the pool but the gadget does withstand accidental drops in water for as much as half an hour.
